Welcome to Three Lions!
Welcome to the Three Lions gourmet food truck website!!
My name is Scott Bonfield, and I own and operate Three Lions with my older brother, Cameron. My brother was born in South Africa, myself in England, but both grew up in England. We have been in America for around 8 years now, and have been running a food truck since August 2011. We previously ran 3 Men and a Taco, which we thoroughly enjoyed!! We maintained a following of loyal fans and made some fantastically, tasty food. (And the connection between my brother’s birthplace and some of the recipes at 3 Men and a Taco should make sense now.) There were a few transitions at 3 Men And a Taco during the first four months of operation. In the end, it turned into two Englishmen were serving tacos. You read that right. Englishmen? Tacos? Sounds crazy right!!!
Anyways, we found ourselves having an identity crisis. After much discussion between my brother and I, we both had a yearning to do something about who we were that spoke about our heritage. We felt like we could offer Dallas so much more! We then collaborated with our designer, J.B Chaykowsky, and came up with a new plan: an English inspired food truck called Three Lions! We felt this change would be more authentic to who we were, allow us more freedom with the menu, and give the people of DFW something different.
After weeks of hard work from J.B., and help from the one and only Andrew Ormsby, we have re-wrapped our truck, revamped our menu, and we finally feel that everything is starting to click. We are just starting to scratch the surface of what we can accomplish – and we wouldn’t do it in any other city. Dallas is our new home. Our truck says “Texas in our hearts, England in our blood.” And now we have the opportunity to show you that.
Please let us know your thoughts and comments through the use of our website. Like us on Facebook. Follow us on Twitter.
We hope you enjoy the new menu!! We welcome the challenge from anyone who is skeptical about English food!! And look forward to serving you a delicious, English-inspired meal.
We launch this Thursday at the Arts District from 11am – 2pm! See you there!
Cheers!
